A tribute to Miles Davis. Loved how he could adapt his music to change with the times but still keep the essence of who he was. Dig his hypnotic funky jazz groove. I imagine him playing in a smokey New York club back in the 70's.
Features Sydney trumpet player Zvonko Jovic. Live drums played by Dave Sanders plus a drum loop over the top, reminiscent of James Brown using two drummers. Used a Fender Jazz Bass to play the melody and mute technique to try and get an upright sound for the rhythm bass underneath.
